Aluminum Melting Filtration

Klobucar Engineering has completed work on high temperature filtration systems for two gas-fired aluminum melting furnaces for a major auto manufacturer. The client sourced equipment from multiple suppliers and self-performed the electrical and controls systems. Work included:
• Identification and evaluation of emission control options.
• Preliminary engineering for the option that best met client requirements.
• Assistance in detail design, procurement, and installation of the equipment.
• Startup including equipment checkout, equipment operational testing, system tuning, operator training, baseline data collection, and documentation.
Klobucar Engineering performed inspections of two rotary RTO units for an automotive painting operation. This inspection involved internal inspection of the rotary valves, media cold face, media hot face, and combustion chamber. A report summarizing the findings was provided including deficiencies found along with recommendations for corrective action. Klobucar Engineering provided additional support for evaluation of remediation plans.
Klobucar Engineering performed inspections of two RTO units for an automotive painting operation. This work included off-line internal inspection and on-line data collection. The off-line inspection included the dampers, media cold face, media hot face, plenums, fans, flexible connectors, and combustion chamber. The on-line inspection involved taking temperature and airflow data to determine the pressure drop and thermal efficiency of the units. A report summarizing the findings was provided including deficiencies found along with recommendations for corrective action.
